Joining Performance Racquet Sports in the summer of 2013 he has taken his enthusiasm for the game and found a way to pass on his knowledge and experience to our academy and select junior tennis program players. Under the apprenticeship of our experienced staff, Andrew is currently studying for his USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) Tennis Professional Certification.
Matthew Bolin - Master Racquet Technician
Matthew joins us as one of only a handful of the regions USRSA (United States Racquet Stringing Association) Certified Master Racquet Technicians. Matthew strung his own equipment initially, which quickly grew into a home-based business serving the area's tennis & racquetball players. He envisioned offereing these services in the confines of a full service racquet sports store in the greater Charlotte/Concord area. In April 2013, Matthew partnered with Mark Allen to form Performance Racquet Sports.
Having serviced many different types of tennis and racquetball players, Matthew saw a need to continually improve his stringing skills and service techniques. As a result he pursued certification with the USRSA and achieved Master Racquet Technician (MRT) status. Matthew has passed a comprehensive test to demonstrate his experience and knowledge of racquet customization (weight/balance of frame), handle modifications, full racquet and stringing service, and familiarity of racquet technology. Matthew maintains his MRT status by passing an annual test on the latest manufacturer technologies.
